Abstract (EN)

Objective: The thesis study was carried out to determine the effects of greenhouse fig cultivation and different training systems in terms of earliness, yield and quality in Bursa black fig variety. Material and Methods: The plant material used in the study was provided by Tekfen-Alanar A.Ş. Trees in the trial plot of the 4-year-old Bursa Black fig variety, which was planted in January 2018, of the production garden located in Kemer village of Salihli/MANİSA, were used. The trial plot was covered as a high tunnel in mid-January 2022. In the trial, 7m wide galvanized main poles and highly permeable cover material effective against UV rays were used for greenhouse work. In this study, fig trees planted at an angle of 45o with 1.5 meters above and between row spacing were pruned using supported and unsupported systems. Within the scope of the study, three different tipping levels were applied on the annual shoots of the trees in the experiment. For this purpose, 60 cm, 100 cm and control cuttings were made on annual shoots. Results: Within the scope of the experiment, phenological, morphological and yield analyzes were carried out on Bursa Black fig variety trees. When all the findings obtained from the study are evaluated in general, it is seen that greenhouse cultivation provides 7-10 days of earliness. It was determined that the yield was higher in the case of pruning from 100 cm tip removal level. Conclusion: It was determined that it was possible to grow figs under cover and that an early cultivation period of one week to ten days was achieved. Fig trees trained in the form of unsupported system yielded more than the supported system. If dense planting fig cultivation is practiced, it has been revealed that, as a precaution to the problems caused by the hard cuts in terms of fruit set and productivity, it will provide positive contributions in terms of fruit set and productivity compared to excessively hard cuts.
