Abstract (EN)

The objective of the present study is to evaluate the degree of whittennig and demineralization following bleaching with sodium perborate (SP) alone (chemical), reinforced with (TiO2) and activated with lasers. One hundred and twenty teeth were included. Initial color and mineralization measurement was performed. The teeth were randomly divided into 2 groups (n=60). Pulp chambers were filled with either MTA Fillapex or AH26. Then, crowns were filled, the samples were kept in artificial saliva for 3 week and color measurement was repeated. Both group was subgrouped into 4 (n=15). Group 1; chemical SP bleaching. Group 2; SP activated with diode laser. Group 3; SP activated with Er:Cr.YSGG laser. Group 4; SP-TiO2 gel activated with LED. All samples were kept in artificial saliva for another 1 week. Color and mineral measurement was measured. Both sealers resulted in similar degree of discoloration (p>0,05). Following bleaching, SP activated with Er:Cr.YSGG laser provided more effective bleaching in teeth discolored with MTA Fillapex (p<0.05). Other groups represented statistically similar degree of bleaching (p>0,05). TiO2 reinforced SP lead to lesser degree of deminaralization (p<0,05) All techniques provided sufficient bleaching while TiO2 congtaining gel was the most safe.
