Women and god in the context of feminist philosophy of religion

Throughout history, the existence, position and nature of women has always been a controversial issue. For this reason, all cultures and religions in the world have a definition of women. In this study, which deals with women as an ontological problem; The body, the self, the identity and roles of women in society, their relationship with patriarchal culture and monotheistic religions have been questioned and tried to be discussed and analyzed on a philosophical basis. In this study, starting from the history of feminism, it has been tried to reveal the problematic aspect of the existence of women and her body, and to show the relationship between God and women, with the approach of feminism to religion and God through the female body. In addition to this, the philosophical, social and religious dynamics behind the turning of women into the "other" in terms of their role in society are mentioned. In this way, the aim of the thesis is to show that otherness is not a woman's destiny and condemnation, and to prove that God is not an obstacle in front of the woman's body and self. In this thesis, different from previous studies, a body philosophy has been tried to be made. In addition, the gender problems of the embodied woman, the situation of the woman alienated by the roles and identities attributed by the patriarchal order, the self and identity confusions and the possibility of their reconstruction on the social, political, legal, religious and linguistic level, God-woman, religion-woman relations. viewed from a philosophical perspective. It has been tried to show the social and religious perceptions in the background of the philosophers' views on women. In the history of philosophy, in the dualities of soul-body, mind-body, nature-spirit, religion-body, the body has been postponed for a long time and approached with a distance. Theologically, especially in Christian theology, the body has been the representative of evil, sin and pollution. One of the most important reasons for our discussion of women as an ontological problem is that the body is the representative of the other in relations with the body. Because the references and associations made to the body in the dichotomy given above are identified with the ontological existence of women and accepted as valid for women as well. In this study, besides philosophy, disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, psychology and phenomenology were also used. As a result of the study, there are many sociological, religious, legal, political, political and philosophical reasons why women are in a secondary position, but otherness is not her destiny, religion interpretations and religious perceptions, not religions, prevent women from revealing their own potential in a perfect way, but the dynamics of society and patriarchal culture By examining the traces of women on linguistic, philosophical, sociological and legal grounds, the idea that a new construction process is possible for women has been reached.
