Divan of Fethü'd-din Ahmed

This study based on Divan's critically text that mostly composed of Fethu'd-din Ahmad's ghazals and the poet's life, literary personality; examination the terms of features, such as the poetry form, content and style. Fethu'd-din Ahmad who is thought to have lived in XVIII. century is a Sufi poet. Poet's name is not found in tadhkiras and not found in any other sources of the poet's period. His date of birth is given like 1179/1765-66 at Divan. But this date's mean can not understood, neither the spiritual birth date nor real birth date. We said that the poet is Khalwati and/or Naqshband according to Divan. The work consists of three parts. Fethu'd-din Ahmad's life, his art, his literary personality and his work have been investigated in the first part of work. In the second part which has the broad scope are investigated the verse forms of work, its language, its spelling and orthografical characteristics, content's characteristics. The last section includes features a copy of the text, text's installation method and the text. The poem's mean is more important than the shape of poem by the poet who writes mystical poems. So that it is seen the mistakes at form elements, such as meter and rhymes. Prophets who wrote poems depending on the wahdat of the unity, mystical concepts, nature, cycle theory and so on were processed at Divan. Key Words: Fethu'd-din Ahmad, Sufism, ghazal, divan, religion
