Abstract (EN)
The Israeli-Palestinian war is a complex conflict with a long history. As in the past, Palestine has become the focal point of all Middle Eastern countries as well as all countries of the world with its religious, geopolitical and strategic location. At the same time, this war, which is a candidate to be one of the longest wars in world history, is a candidate to continue to occupy a place on the agenda in terms of what is written and drawn about it. In this study, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is examined together with its historical processes and how the discourses about this conflict are perceived in the national press and media or how perceptions are tried to be created about the conflict are tried to be explained by scanning various books, articles and theses. The study was examined with the support of Teun Adrianus Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis method and content analysis method in order to understand how the parties are positioned in the news in the published news frames. 30 daily news headlines from 6 selected media outlets were randomly determined and a total of 180 news headlines were examined and interpreted. In addition, the perception policy created by ideologies on the masses in international media outlets was tried to be explained in the news about the Hamas-Israel conflict between October 7 and November 5.
