Aim: It was aimed to determine the prevalence of dysphagia in patients hospitalized in the physical therapy and rehabilitation service of a hospital in this study. Material and Method: The data were collected in physical therapy and rehabilitation service in Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital The data were collected via EAT-10 and DHI questionnaires. V-VST test was applied if the participants got 3 or more points from EAT-10. Microsoft Excel 2010 analysis program was used for the other necessary analyzes. Results: A total of 51 participants, 21 men and 30 women, were included in the study. Patients were between the ages of 21 and 90. 24 of the patients were hospitalized with neurological diagnosis and 27 of the patients were in the hospital with orthopedic diagnosis. 2 patients were fed with PEG. 40 patients scored less than 3 points on the EAT-10 questionnaire and swallowing procedures were found to be safe. V-VST test was applied to 9 patients and it was seen that swallowing safety was impaired in changing parameters, volume and consistency. Conclusion: Dysphagia was diagnosed in 11 of total 51 participants. 9 of these participants were female and 2 are male. The prevalence of physical therapy and rehabilitation service dysphagia was found to be 21.5%.
