The effect of shooting simulation training to soccer kick performance on young soccer players

Abstract (EN)

Soccer is a game which is played by kicking ball with body parts such as foot, head and all other except of hand, including two playing periods of 45 minutes, and 15 minutes rest period between each half. Football players practice intermittently high intensity activities such as sprinting and shooting, and low intensity activities such as walking and jogging during play. Shooting performance has a great importance because of the directly influenced the score. In this study, the effect of shooting simulation training applied to young soccer players on shooting performance was investigated. Our study participated in 18 experiment (Age: 15.9 ± 0.7 years, Height: 172 ± 5.5cm, BW: 63 ± 10 kg), and 19 control (Age: 15.8 ± 0.6 years, Height: 173 ± 8.4 cm, BW: 60.7 ± 9.3 kg) to be including 39 players. Shooting simulation training lasted 6 weeks, per week 3 days. The training was repeated 3-4 sets, 8-12 times with 70-85% load intensity. Soccer players was conducted testing before and after training include, shot performance tests (shot accuracy / maximum ball speed), agility (T-Test), sprint (0-10m, 0-20m, 0,30m), knee-hip extensor / flexion (60-180-240 °/Speeds), knee isometric strength tests (at 30-60-90 °angles). After the simulation training, soccer players measured values the ball speed post maximum intensity shot activity and accuracy ratio increased. In addition, increased hip-knee extension / flexion at all angular velocities and knee isometric at all angles. No improvement in agility and sprint performance was observed. As a result, shooting simulation training increased the shooting speed and accuracy rate. It is believed the increase of the shooting performance is due to the enhancement in the muscles in the knee and hip regions, and ocur increased strength due to nueral and/or hypertrophic origin. It may be necessary to investigate to elektromyographic activity for make it clear. Key Words: Strength, Soccer, Shooting Performance, Shooting Simulation Training
