The art of allusion in the Fuzuli Divan

This study titled " The Art Of Allusion In The Fuzuli Divan" is an examination of the art of allusion that Fuzûlî performed in his Dîvân, the couplets in which he included this art, and the stories he evoked. Telmih is an art based on meaning. As a concept; "looking out of the corner of the eye; Telmih, which comes from the root "lemh" meaning "to reveal light, to shine and appear", means "to point to something, to say something implicitly, to imply". By means of this art, the poet expands the expressive power of his poetry or prose. In reference; It is important to imply, be indirect, and just point. Telmih does not mean content. This art functions to express a lot and evoke a lot with few words. Because when a historical event, a story, a verse, an incident, a story or a person is included in detail, this does not constitute a reference. Therefore, the purpose of allusion is not to include the event or person in detail, but only to create an association in the mind by giving elements that will remind us. When we read a work or a poem, the phrase "water of life" should remind the reader of the prophets Hızır and İlyas searching for the water of life. Or when you read a literary work in which the word "bezm" or the word "elest" is used, the "Kâlu Bela" event in Elest Bezmi should be directly associated in the mind. To date, many artists have benefited from this art in order to strengthen the meaning of the verse, especially the poem. Fuzûlî, who has an important place in classical Turkish poetry, is an artist who frequently uses allusion in his poems, like other artists. It is possible to see this feature of the poet clearly in his Turkish Divan, one of his important works. In this study, brief information about the allusion elements used in the couplets in Fuzûlî's Dîvân was given and some couplets in which Fuzûlî benefited from this art were examined.
