Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the identity in ethno-religious conflict as a community of Syrians and types of reflections in Turkey with the dimensions of this conflict are discussed.The Syrian identity through the 'Assyrian' nationalism, its relationship with the Armenian question, Turkey's international relations under the impact of the psychology of ethnic minorities and immigrants have been studied.Primarily as a conceptual and theoretical issues constitute the core of ethnicity, ethnic identity, cultural identity and the identities of the relationship with the Syrians were in the concept of minority.The etymological approach on the identity of the Syrian, Syrians and Syriacism were examined, resting on the Syriac identity of these concepts were investigated for the debate on scientific grounds. On the Syriac community in the framework of the principles of ethnic and religious communities in this direction from the same ecology have tried to explain over the questioned and relationality.Syrians until the present day by examining the historical background of the relationship between the problems faced today were examined, and the reliability and validity of today's problems were tested. In particular, the issue of Syrian evaluated in light of the Armenian Question was asked portrayed in the projection for the future.The potentials of the Syrians who are spread over a large area in the world were assessed, the impact of migration and immigration over the Syrians was investigated in the perspective of the foreign policy of Turkey.What the situation and effects of Syrians on the Republic of Turkey will be tested with the relationality of information about Syriacism by a questionnaire which applied to the town of Idil.As a conclusion, it is evaluated that Syrians as one of the values of Turkey, especially have very essential qualifications for international policy and have the quality of evidence against Turkey 'so-called' genocide claims. In addition, the Syrian art and architecture of the Anatolian culture can be evaluated in accordance with the development of a proactive policy to be determined.
