Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of different adhesive systems, two self-etch (Adper Prompt L-Pop and Clearfil SE Bond) and a total-etch (Adper Schotchbond) adhesives, on microleakage in class V cavities at extracted deciduous teeth, that prepared with Er:YAG laser and conventional cavity preparation method and restorated with composite resin. In addition we compared the microleakage between asit etching and Er:YAG laser etching techniques at total etch adhesive procedures. Seventy (70) caries free or has minimal caries human deciduous teeth extracted cause of different reason, divided 7 groups. Cavities designed bucco-lingual direction of teeth. In group I,II,III,IV cavities were prepared with Er:YAG laser according to manufacturer instruction and group V,VI,VII cavities were prepared with conventional method.Fallowing adhesive systems; group I and V Adper Prompt L-Pop, group II and VI Clearfil SE Bond , group III, IV, VII Adper Schotchbond were used. On Group IV were used Er:YAG etching instead of asit etching. After adhesive procedures, all specimens restorated with ECUSİT composite resin after termocycling for 500 cycles specimens were isolated and immersed in %1 methylen blue, sectioned bucco-lingual direction and dye penetration was scored based upon the extent of the dye using a light stereomicroscope. For statistical analysis Chi-Square test was used and revealed significant differences in dye penetration scores (p<0,05) between bonding agents and methods. In Er:YAG laser groups, Adper Prompt L-Pop groups showed minimal dye penetration than all groups, and in control groups Clearfil SE Bond showed minimal dye penetration than other groups. Statistically there were not too much differences between Adper Prompt L-Pop and Clearfil SE Bond groups. But although there is no statistically significance between this two groups when compared with Adper Schotchbond Multi-Purpose, the percentage and ditrubtion of score showed differences between this bonding groups.Based on this results Er:YAG laser showed less microleakage resistance than conventional methods used self etch adhesives in this study showed more microleakage resisitance than total etch adhesives in deciduous teeth.
