Abstract (EN)
This study analyzes the Islamic banking and financial system in developing countries with the example of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It presents the Islamic financial system not only as the best alternative to the traditional financial system but also as the best tool for the creation of a middle class in developing countries, as in the case of the DRC. Unlike many other studies, this study provides a more specific analysis to reconcile the Islamic financial and banking system with the concept of the middle class in developing economies of Africa, without being limited to presenting only the alternative side of the Islamic financial system. Based on the proven role of creating the middle class in the development of developed countries, the role of the Islamic finance system in creating the middle class in developing countries is discussed.
