Abstract (EN)

In sci-fi content in Visual Media, the dystopian theme describes pessimistic and gloomy situations that take place in a time period that does not exist. Dystopian film and series content usually includes characters attributed to the role of a savior and hero, while on the other hand, there are characters who oppose the current system. In societies where there is no customary state order, systems do not work, and there are no deterrent elements, hegemony over the people is provided by individuals who are attributed as heroes. In this thesis, the theme of dystopia is processed and in this depiction of the non-existent future, how the young adolescent age group builds their own hegemony systems, especially in the event of the disappearance of state systems, is examined. The study focuses on the historical development of the visual media science fiction genre and the concept of ideology, and the young-adolescent series 'The Society' is examined in connection with the concept of hegemony. In these studies, findings about the construction of hegemony in dystopianthemed visual media products were found.
