Özet (EN)

The topic of the agenda has been a topic of thought and research for many years in communication studies. With the introduction of mass media into people's lives, work began to focus on how mass media are influencing the agenda on society. Within the framework of the agenda-setting theory developed for the measurement of this effect, it has been researched whether the mass media have the power to determine the agendas of the societies and to direct people. As a result of the investigations, it became clear that the mass media have the power to determine and change the agendas of the societies. Within the scope of this study, the effects of the mass media on television societies are examined. Within the scope of the research, it was examined how the agendas of national and local channels broadcasting in Turkey are formed and whether national channels and local channels affect each other's agendas. Two selected national and two local television channels were studied within the main news bulletins between April 1-17, 2017, selected randomly.
