The relationship of city-memory in contemporary art

The change and transformation of cities began with modernism, gained momentum with globalization and neo-liberalism. Today, this change and transformation is still ongoing. Although change is often inevitable, the changing urban image causes a loss of memory over time. At this point, art is almost protecting the urban memory on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is witnessing the dramatic changes of cities.
