The character staff in the novels of Halikarnas Balıkçısı

The purpose of this study entitled "The Character Staff in The Novels of Halikarnas Balıkçısı" is to investigate the life story of the writer, the reflection of his life story to his novels and the persons, in the context of artistic understanding. In section one, political and literary developments between 1900 and 1925 were enlightened, and given information about the novel in Turkish literature from Tanzimat to Halikarnas Balıkçısı. In the second part, the writer's life, humour and art were discussed. In the third part, the novels were presented, the characters were examined according to their functions and types. The characters in the novels were classified, the position and the contribiution of the characters in the story arc were determined. In character presentations, it was mentioned about the function of the narrator and the attitude of the author. A general evaluation was made in the conclusion part.
