Hâmid's Dîvân (examination-critical text) -Seyh Muhammed Hâmid-

Divans, which have an important place in the history of Turkish literature, have been the main source of many information thanks to the valuable information they contain. One of these divans is the work of Seyh Muhammed Hâmid, who lived at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. In the study we have done, a critical text has been revealed by comparing the two copies of the Divan that we have, and an analysis has been made in addition to the critical text. There are two copies of the Divan in our possession. One of these copies is the one in the Topkapı Palace Museum Library (TS 1049). The copy has 57 leaves and contains 162 poems. Another copy is the one in the Banıçiçek Kırzıoğlu Private Library (BK). This copy has 24 leaves and there are 143 poems in it. Apart from these two copies, two poems belonging to the poet were identified in the Department of writing works of Erzurum Atatürk University and in the library of IBB Atatürk. These poems are included in the critical text. While creating the critical text of the Divan, no copy was taken as a basis. Both copies were not prepared in accordance with the classical divan tradition. There fore, the poems were rearranged in accordance with the divan arrangement tradition. Our study consists of four main parts. In the introduction; The political, social and literary situation has been examined with a general point of view of the period in which the poet lived. In the first part; The poet's life, literary personality and works took place. In the second part of the study; The divan was examined (verse forms, verse types, language and style features, literary arts). In the third chapter; copy features, the path followed in the establishment of the text and the critical text. As a result of this study, 50 of the poems that make up the divan text are qasida, 78 stanzas, 6 mesnevi, 2 müseddes, 3 muhammes, 1 tahmis, 4 murabba, 106 ghazal, 31 poems rubai, 3 of them are matla and 15 of them are mufred. There are 299 poems in total in the Divan.
