Finance and financing resources in airline transportation

In recent years rapid development of airline transportation and its dynamic structure cause the increase of financial problems of airline companies and brings the solutions of these problems as well. Therefore in this thesis finance and financing resources in airline transportation are researched thoroughly and studied financial situation of airlines in Turkey. In the first part, it is studied the position of airline transportation in the world, Europe and Turkey and industry's structural characteristics are defined. The second part describes that financial problems stem from global operations of airline transportation. In the next two parts, assets and resources structure of airline companies are exposed and analyzed available financing resources suitable for this structure. In the final part, a survey was conducted to designate financing resources and financial problems of airline firms in Turkey and proposed possible solutions for their financial problems.
