Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted descriptively and comparatively in order to evaluate the nursing care behaviors of inpatients and working nurses in a university hospital. In the study, no sample selection was made for the nurses and it was aimed to reach the entire universe. However, 351 nurses were reached. A sample of unknown population was calculated for the patients and 369 people were reached. Data were collected using the "Socio-demographic Data Form" and "Caring Behaviors Scale 24". Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics as well as Spierman Correlation analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Of the nurses participating in the study, 62% were women, 83% had a bachelor's degree, and 59% stated that the number of patients they provided daily care was 16-25. Of the patients, 55% were female, 48% were university graduates, and 28% stated that they had been hospitalized once. The perceptions of patients and nurses about care behaviors were analyzed descriptively and comparatively and the results were given. In this study, it was determined that the patients got the lowest mean score in the sub-dimension of being respectful, while they got the highest mean score in the knowledge-skill sub-dimension. It was determined that while the nurses got the lowest mean score in the commitment sub-dimension, they got the highest mean score in the knowledge-skill sub-dimension. In this study, it was determined that the total mean score of the care behaviors of the nurses was higher than the total mean score of the care behaviors of the patients.
