Abstract (EN)
Objective: This thesis study was conducted to examine the crisis management skills and related factors in the Covid 19 epidemic, which is a public health problem of nurse managers. Material and Methods: This study is cross-sectional, between 20 July-20 October 2021, Giresun University Prof. Dr. A. İlhan Özdemir Training and Research Hospital, GRU Obstetrics and Pediatrics EAH, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center were gathered from the nurse managers of three hospitals. The population of the research consists of 196 nurse managers. In the study, it was aimed to reach the entire universe, which did not use sampling method. The sample of the study was composed of 156 nurse managers who agreed to participate in the study. The data obtained in the research were evaluated in computer environment by means of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 22.0 statistical program. Frequency and percentage analyzes were used to determine the descriptive characteristics of the managers participating in the research, and average and standard deviation statistics were used to analyze the scale. Kurtosis and Skewness values were examined to determine whether the research variables showed a normal distribution. According to the descriptive characteristics of the managers, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (Anova) and post hoc (Tukey, LSD) analyses were applied in the examination of the scale score average. Linear regression analysis was used to examine the cause-effect relationship of the descriptive characteristics of the nurse managers according to the scale scores. Results: The results of the study by a research nurse managers by 8.3% male, %91,7% is a woman, most of the nurse managers '31-40', between the ages of a bachelor degree, '1-5' for years she worked as an administrator, the majority of in-service training program was determined to have participated in. The mean score of the "Crisis Management Scale" of the nurse managers participating in the study was calculated as 3.143±0.286. Participants who have worked in the profession for "11-15 years", "16-20 years" and "20 years and over" had higher damage prevention and learning scores than those who worked in the profession for "10 years and less" indicates a significant difference (p<0.05). Participants whose managerial period is "6-10 years" have higher crisis management general, damage prevention and learning scores than those whose managerial period is "1-5 years" and "10 years and more" than crisis management general, damage prevention and learning scores shows significant difference (p<0.05). Conclusion: Nursing services management is closely concerned with working with great devotion by taking all legal responsibilities in the face of the crisis caused by the Coronovirus Disease 2019 (COVID 19) epidemic, which is a public health problem, and managing the crisis with the right planning by increasing the quality of care.
