This research conceptualizes the relationship between the actual and the virtual in the context of body and self. The subject matter of the thesis is based on personal memories of an illness, which caused distortions of reality. Conceptually the research reflects an intersection between sciences and philosophy. The second part of the research is practical research on the methodologies of producing three-dimensional objects and their effect on perception.
