Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, we apply well known The Hyperbolic Tangent (Tanh) method to solve the nonlinear evolution and wave equations. The tanh method is a powerful solution method for the computation of onedimensional travelling wave solutions. This technique is based on the fact that solutions may be written as a finite power series of a hyperbolic tangent. Balancing the nonlinear terms against the linear ones gives the order of the series expansion. Boundary conditions can be implemented with the velocity of the travelling wave solutions . To show the strength of the method some well known nonlineer partial differantial equations are solved. Finally, it will be shown that the same method also can be used to solve systems of nonlinear partial differential equations.
