Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to assess Türkiye and Korea business/organizational cultures with broad strokes, that are outlined within the framework of Geert Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions Theory in order to help all Turkish individuals who graduated from the Department of Korean Language and Literature and/or want to start and/or continue their career in a Korean company. While both Turkish and Korean societies' cultural backgrounds were mentioned, the important points about the two cultures were emphasized in general, based on the similarities and differences of the cultures of the two countries. In this direction, firstly, the concepts of culture-individual-family and how they affect each other are mentioned; then, how these concepts affect the business/organizational culture is mentioned. By way of the findings obtained through the literature review on the sources, a survey was prepared to be applied to Turkish company employees within the framework of Cultural Dimensions Theory. The data of the survey applied to Turkish employees were compared with the cultural values determined within the scope of the Cultural Dimensions Theory and it was determined to what extent they overlap. In the light of the analysis of the survey results and all other findings, it could be foreseen that the data about Turkish and Korean company/business/organizational cultures obtained in this study will be a reference source for future comparative cultural studies.
