"المسائل العَقدية المتصلة باللغة عند ابن حزم من خلال كتابه"الفَصْل

The aim of this study is to show the status of Ibn Hazm via his linguistic inferences in the Creed's issues. Ibn Hazm had an independent personality. He wrote in all sciences. He had been studied from several aspects, but his linguistic inferences had not been studied, especially that Ibn Hazm's doctrine was apparent; focusing on the texts. The questions are: did Ibn Hazm stop on the language texts the same as on Quran texts? What was the linguistic basics which Ibn Hazm depended on? And did his attitude approve with the language scientists or object them? These questions were a part of the questions which resulted in choosing this address, and from this aspect comes the importance of this study which discovers the linguistic depth of Ibn Hazm. Besides, my selection of his book (Alfasl fi Almilal wa Alahwa wa Alnihal) was because this book is the most distinguished book of him. My method in this study was the descriptive method, speaking about the topic as it was with him. And this descriptive method in this aspect is comparative to the critical method. So I showed how he deduced via following the language scholars and what they said in this matter, beside how Ibn Hazm was near or far from them, comparing Ibn Hazm to the other speakers. So this leaded to apply the comparative method. The most important results from this research were that Ibn Hazm didn't forget about his focussing on the texts, it was very clear in his study of the names of Allah, but it was not the same as in Jurisprudence (Fiqh). Also it was clear that Ibn Hazm evaluated the others and criticized them according to their Doctrines needs, as if he was not familiar with them. In addition, his well-known intense criticizing was dominated. Moreover, it was noticed that Ibn Hazm kept away from the language experts, being contrary to them and following his own method. A lot of what he claimed is not existed especially about derivation and sequence. So we recommend the researchers to study Ibn Hazm more from several aspects especially in Logic and its relation to the language.
