According to Ibn Taymiyyah the relationship between mind and transmission

The most important issue in Ibn Taymiyya's books, who struggled against all kins of ideas that he thought would harm to Islam, is to defend the religion of Islam against misunderstanding and practices. He defended the Salafist thought in order to preserve the religion of Islam in its original form in the Qur'an and Sunnah. He struggled with all kinds of ideas and practices that he thought would harm the Islamic society. In this study, Ibn Taymiyya's understanding of reason and revelation is emphasized. Our thesis consists of an introduction and three main parts. The aim of our study is to put forth the ideas of Ibn Taymiyyah about giving reason and revelation the place they deserve and to explain and prove that there will be no contradiction between the clear reason and the authentic revelation is true, to highlight the advancements he made to the Salafist school of thought and to identify and clarify his attitude known as the 'method of religious rationality' and to show the expansions he brought to the Salafist school. His aim was to purify Islamic thought from philosophical terminology and revelation it into Qur'anic terminology, and not to deprive the verses of their literal/original structure with interpretations and theories. One of his main arguments is that Greek philosophy is not needed to understand Islamic thought. Therefore, Islamic thought should not be reduced to Aristotelianism. In this study, the scientific personality of Ibn Taymiyyah and his Salafism are mentioned. We have looked at the research on the time period he lived in, his intellectual millieu and his intellectual life to examine how this time period affected the development of his scientific personality. We reported that Ibn Taymiyyah was opposed to sufism, philosophy and theology. His writings and the works produced about him were used to analyze his views on reason and revelation. His determined views were evaluated by comparing them with the views of other scholars, madhhabs and Salafists. As a result, it was determined that Ibn Taymiyyah, contrary to popular belief, did not exclude the reason, but determined the field and boundary of the reason, and according to him, it was determined that there was no contradiction between the clear mind and the authentic revelation.
