Social benefit applications in the period of II. Abdulhamid

Social benefits, plays on important role in preventing injustices and poverty that may occur in income distribution and increasing in society welfare. Social benefits refers to cash and in-kind assistance provided by the state to meet the necessary needs of the needy individuals. Changes in the Ottoman geography and as a result of the developments make a big changes in that people. During the reign of II. Abdulhamid with many precoutions taken to provide these different needs. Different legal arrangements have been made with many institutions for implement these regulations. This study purpose to make attantion that II. Abdulhamid period as remembered with social benefit projects in the Ottoman Empire. And explain the history of this social benefit projects todays situations which some of them are still exist. Because of he planned to gather traditional and modernized practices under a roof in the Ottoman Empire, II. Abdulhamid has an important place in the field of social practices in the Ottoman history.
