Abstract (EN)
In this study, single implant crowns which were cemented extraorally and intraorally, are followed and compared for 6 months clinically with the help of radiologic, biochemical and microbiologic data.12 patients who had one missing tooth at each side of their maxilla received 2 implants 4,5 mm width and 8 mm length. These implants have locking-taper and allowsus to cement single crowns extraorally. After waiting three months for osteointegration single metal-ceramic crowns were produced for crowns. The crown margins were made 1 mm deeper than gingival margin at most. The crowns at the right side were cemented intraorally and the crowns at the left side were cemented extraorally. Excess cement is cleaned elaborately. Patient are recalled for clinic kontrols, 3 months and 6 months after cementetion of the crowns. Peri-implant creviculer fluid (PİCF) and gingival creviculer fluid (GCF) samples are collected right before starting prosthetic procedures, 3 months after cementation and 6 months after cementetion. Radiographs are taken right after cementation, an 6 months after cementation with log-cone parallelling technique. Levels of RANKL, OPG, IL-17A, IL-17E, IL-1β and amount of Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg), Treponema denticola (Td), Tannerella forsythia (Tf), Aggregatibaceter actinomycetecomitans (Aa), Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn), Prevotella intermedia (Pi), Streptococus sanguis (Ss), are researched in PİCF and GCF samples of patients. Radiographs are used to measure crestal bone loss around the implants. In this study we found no significant difference clinically, radiologically between the crowns which were cemented extraorally and intraorally after 6 months follow-up. Further investigation is needed for the differences found in biochemical an microbiologic data. We concluded 1 mm depth of crown margins allowed us to clean all excess cement in both extraorally and intraorally cemented crowns. According to our results we can say that extaraoral cementation is a safe and reliable method at the single crowns of implants with locking taper and it is highly recommended with the crowns which have deeper margins than 2 mm since it does not have the risk of excess cement. Key words: Extraoral cementation, locking-taper, peri-implant creviculer fluid
