The investigation of fatawa related with Farâiz in ilaveli Mecmua-ı Cedide

This thesis is about the ferâiz (science of islamic inheritance) section of the artifact named Ġlaveli Mecmua-i Cedide compiled by Yakovalı Ali Mürteza in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. In this section, the transcripts of the Ottoman fatwas were transcribed and their fatwas were analyzed. In thesis, miri aims to reach some information about the shape and period of land acquried by laws issued. The study consist of an Introdiction and Two Sections. In the Ġntroduction, the importance of the fatwa and the fatwa boks were explained and also the referances of the thesis were mentioned. In the first chapter, the phenomenon of fatwa and phenomenon fatwa in the Ottoman Empire were discussed and the life of the Ģeyhülislam (shaykh al-islams) who gave the fatwas were summarized. In addition, boks used in footnotes were introduced. In the second part, the transcription, analysis and evaluation of the fatwas were included.
