Abstract (EN)

This research is organized with the participation of the Borlu Gazi PrimarySchool?s fifth (5.) class students in county of Demirci. The research?s objective is tosearch the effects of the storyline method of the achievement and creativity on thestudents in primary school?s 5. class in Social Studies lesson. This research is restrictedwith ?World of All of Us? unit which is in programme of Social Studies of PrimarySchool. The research is experimental study and pre test-post test experimental patternwith control group is used in the research. Groups of experiment and control weredefined according to sexuality of students, marks of the achievements test and marks ofthe Torrance creative thinking test. Thirty six students are the sample of the research.Eighteen students are group of the experiment. Eighteen students are group of control.During the unit, the experiment group was used Storyline Method, the control groupwas used traditional teaching method. The story was written by the researcher. The storywas written based on the Storyline Method. Data gained from pre test-post testachievement test and Torrance creative thinking test are subjected to analysis ofStatistical Programme Social Science (SPSS) Descriptive Statistics, Independent ?samples t test and Paired ?samples t test.The results of the research can be reached as given below:1. There is a meaningful difference about marks of achievement between theexperiment group used the Storyline Method and the control group usedtraditional teaching method. The group of experiment success level increases inproportion to the control group.2. There is a meaningful difference about marks of creativity between theexperiment group used the Storyline Method and the control group usedtraditional teaching method. The experiment group?s creativity level increases.Key Words: Storyline Method, Achievement, Creativity, Social Studies Lesson.
