The efficiency level of school principals in realizing the effective counselling services of classroom teachers in primary schools

This thesis aims researching efficiency level of school principals on the process of making the classroom teacher carry out the counselling services in primary schools. Principals and teachers from 33 governmental primary schools in Afyonkarahisar city in 2009-2010 education term have been determined as the target group, principals and teachers take place in this research have been chosen from this group.As the evaluation form a quetionnaire includes two parts have been applied.The questionnaire have been prepared with the help of Likert type scale and it has been condunted on 506 teachers totally. Total points of the datas obtained from each question in questionnaire have been averaged and suitably with the variants ?? Independed Samples T-Test ?? and one-way Anova have been applied to these averages. The results have been declared after forming the findings in charts, making necessary explanations and coments.When we look into the answers which the teachers gave to the changes of inservice training, class size, working conditions, education degree, period of teaching, gender in size of educational, prsonal/social and counselling in profession, no meaningful difference has been found out although differences in averages have been seen. But in educational, personal/social and counselling in profession and in %50 of questionnaire, meaningful differences have been seen among the subject groupsaccording to the changes of positions.Keywords: Counselling, administrator, effective lider
