Examining the levels of ethical leadership behaviours of the primary school adminisrators: the sample of Muğla provience

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the characteristics of Ethical Leadership differ or not according to some demographic factors among the teachers and administrators of primary schools.Ethic leader criterion, prepared by Yılmaz (2005), is used as a data collecting tool. The questionnaire that is used in the research consists of two parts. The general explanations and information forms of the teachers involved in the research are in the first part; and the questions aimed at evaluating the ethic behaviours of the primary school master. Muğla state center Central district?s primary school?s teachers are in the center of the research. In relation to the research, the questionnaire is aplied to 395 teachers but only 316 of them are evaluated.Standard deviation, frequency, arithmetic average, interest rate, independent sample t test, oneway ANOVA and Scheffeé tests are used while solving the datum of research.According to the teachers involved in the questionnaire primary school administrators got points above the average. So they are in a good level in each sub-dimension of ethical leadership which are ethic communication, ethic behavioural and giving organisational decisions levels.
