The comparision of preliminary physical education and class teacher's social skill levels by some variables

The purpose of this study was to determine and compare of Zonguldak and Karadeniz Eregli cities preliminary physical education teachers and primary school elementery school teachers? social skill levels by branches, gender and background. In pursuing this goal, 31 female and 55 male, with of total 86 primary physical education teachers and 31 female and 55 male with of total 86 celementery school teachers which were working at Zonguldak and Kdz. Eregli cities penticipated Data collected this study by usıng scale ? Social Skill ? that developed by Riggio (1986) and it was adapted to Turkish by Yuksel (1998). Has 90 questions and 6 subdimensions. Each subdimensions consist of 15 items. Data have been analysed statistically by using SPSS Windows packet programme. Percentage, Arithmetic Average, One Way Variance Analyse (ANOVA) and for unrelated variables two factor ANOVA and Scheffe have been carried out on these data. Significant level is determined with .05. As a result; according to variable there was a statisticly differences between physical education teacher and class teachers? emotional expressionism, emotional sensitivity, social expressionism andtotal but there was not significant differences between gender and common impact of gender and branche variables. There was a differences between physical education teachers and class teachers? emotional expressionism subdimension but there is not meaningfull difference between gender and common impact of gender x branche variables. There was a differences between physical education teachers and class teachers? emotional sensitivity subdimension but there is not meaningfull difference between gender and common impact of gender and branche variables. There was a differences between physical education teachers and class teachers? social expressionism subdimension but there is not meaningfull difference between gender and common impact of gender x branche variables. According to branch variable, there was a meaningfull differences between physical education teachers and class teachers? total social skill level points but there is not meaningfull difference between gender and common impact of gender and branche variables. According to branch, gender and common impact of branche x gender variables, there was not significant differences between physical education teachers and class teachers? social sensitivity, emotional control and social control subdimension. According to class teachers? back ground there was not meaningful differences at emotional sensitivity, emotional control, social expressionism, social sensitivity, social control subdimensions, however there was a difference at emotinal expressionism subdimension. Results indicated that there was not statisticly differences between social skill level physical education teachers.
