Abstract (EN)
The gifted students are treated as students with problems as they reflect their positive talents to the classroom environment in a negative way. However, such a case results from their features that the other students do not have. This study is conducted to reflect the positive features of the gifted children to the classroom environment to clear away this negative perception on these students. This study was carried out using sample event design which is one of the qualitative research methods. Criteria sampling was used while determining the sample of the research. The sample of the research consiste of 9 gifted students attending to the primary schools in city center of Amasya and their teachers. The data was obtained through interviews and observations. An interview and quasi-structured observation forms were used for the sampling. The analysis of the research is content analysis and the interviews were analysed using N-VIVO program. As a result of the study, it was seen that the gifted students did not pay attention to their teachers in the class because of their quick and easy learning features. They never accepted guidence for their homework and projects and they joined the classroom activities voluntarily. They depicted awareness to the humanity and environment and they did not compansate about the rules. They treated their friends cruely and they claimed that their friends could not understand their jokes. The research can be concluded that the gifted students reflect their positive features negatively in the teaching environment. The most important factor to minimize this effect is the teacher. In this context, it is crucial to take the features of the gifted children into account while planning the curriculum and designing the in-service training.
