Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this Research is to examine in depth the perspectives of classroom teachers on business ethics and sense of responsibility. This study was conducted with the aim of defining business ethics and responsibility awareness from the perspectives of classroom teachers, revealing the factors affecting business ethics and responsibility awareness, and suggesting solutions for increasing business ethics and responsibility awareness. The research was carried out with the qualitative research method. The obtained study was prepared within the framework of the phenomenology pattern, one of the qualitative research method designs. The study group of this research was determined by purposive sampling method. The study group of the research consists of 20 administrators and teacher groups consisting of classroom teachers working in Amasya Province Center and other districts in the 2021/2022 academic year. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 19-item open-ended questions was used as a data collection tool in the research. Since it is known that the Covid-19 disease is a disease that spreads quickly among people and that the disease spreads very quickly, especially when people are in close contact and distance with each other, interviews were made via telephone or zoom programs in order to avoid close contact and distance with the participants, and the data were collected by these methods. Participants were asked to answer the interview questions sincerely and on a voluntary basis. Each interview lasted between 30-45 minutes on average. The data obtained as a result of the studies were analyzed from a descriptive point of view. When the data is analyzed as a result of the research, the participants firstly understand the concept of business ethics; doing a job right, honesty, ethics, rules-principles, responsibility, values. As a result of the research, the participants determined the factors affecting business ethics; individual factors, environmental factors and social structure, the system itself, the working environment, internal motivation, self-respect and love of the individual, and systemic deficiencies. In order to increase the work ethic of the participants; raising awareness, receiving training, improving working conditions and opportunities, attitudes of administrators, being fair-equal, motivation, parent training, internal and external motivation. Teachers participating in the research aimed at the definition of the concept of responsibility; In order to minimize the negative effects of groupings among teachers; duty, self-control, values, justice, doing one's duty, behavior and self-control. As a result of the research, the participants determined the factors affecting the sense of responsibility; family, environment, personal feelings, inner impulse and motivation. In order to increase the awareness of responsibility of the teachers participating in the research; They expressed duty awareness, family trainings, education-responsibility projects, activities, being equal and fair, applying sanctions, assigning extra duties, transferring experience, and ethical values.
