Guidance services for primary school teachers relationship between attitudes and perceptions of school climate investigation

In the current study, the aim was to investigate the relationship between school climate perceptions and perceptions related to guidance services among primary school teachers. In this study which is conducted as correlational survey, the data were collected from 299 promary school teachers employed in Istanbul. In order to collect the data, "Attitudes toward guidance services scale" and "School climate scale" was used as data collection tool. The data were analyzed by using Kruskall Wallis tests, Mann Whitney U tests, T tests, ANOVA ve Pearson Moments Correlation Coefficients. Based on the results it was concluded that developmental effects of guidance services were concieved more by teachers who are at ages between 25-29, conception of teachers regarding close control behaviors were more positive for teachers who are at ages between 40-44. It was also found that teacher whose working experience betwwen 1-5 years have more sense of superiority over other teachers. Moreover, in terms of participation to the guidance activities, it was found that female teachers are significantly more interested that male counterparts. In addition, female teachers show more priority to inhibiting behaviors and inclination to the job behaviors. Finally, it was found that the subscales of both measurement instruments have high level of correlations with each others.
