İlm-i Tıbb/Muhammed bin Hasan et-Tabîb: Grammar-text-index-facsimile

The period covering centuries of 13-15 is the first period of Turkish language which has established and developed at the Anatolia and Rumeli region, on the basis of Oguz-Turkmen dialect. By this dialect of Turkish language, in Anatolian area many manuscripts have been copyrighted since the beginning of the second half of 13th century. When we pay attention to the copyright works, we see that the weighed mostly religious and literary texts in this period. However, medical and pharmaceutical manuscripts which were written in Old Anatolian Turkish are substantial number of works.İn our study, we have received the medical book of Muhammad bin Hasan et-Tabib which is named by İlm-i Tıbb. As he mentions in the introduction of the work, the author of the book is Tabib Muhammad bin Hasan. As mentioned in the book, it is understood that the author was busy with the knowledge of medicine and he was closely associated with the works of medical scholars of his period like İbni Sina, Mevlânâ Kutbü?l-Millet ve?d-Dîn eş-Şirâzî and Alâüddin El-Karşî.Our study consists of four parts including the text-linguistic analysis-index-facsimile. Been fully transcribed the text from the text section of the work; the work in the language, traits of language study are discussed in detail; the index used in the work section of the aspects of the meanings of words that make up the work are given, and the words translated in this part are classified as nouns, verbs, prepositions and types of these are indicated with abbreviations. At the facsimile section, the facsimile of the work is presented as original text.There is an important issue that should not be overlooked that every aspect of the richness of Turkish language and our language in order to determine the contents off to different areas at different stages are given and discussed in the light of the necessity of works. We hope that our study will contribute to the work done before us, and then hope this will help show the way to those who do the research in this area.This Master?s Thesis was supported as a scientific project by Uşak University/ Coordination Unit of Scientific Research Projects.
