The influence of Voki on learners' speaking skill in the EFL context: A case study with young learners

The aim of this study is to see the influence of Web 2.0 tool VOKİ on learners' speaking skills in the foreign language environment. The research was designed as a case study. The participants of the study were twelve 5th grade students at a private school in Mersin. To collect data, poster presentations, Voki voice-recordings, teacher journals, and students interview were conducted. To analyze the quantitative data, both analytic and holistic speaking rubrics were used for poster presentations and Voki voice-recordings. As for the qualitative data, content analysis for the interview and narrations were used. As a conclusion of the study, significant development, and an increase in confidence in students' speaking skills were observed.
