Information society's effects on international decision making process

It will be tried to examine the effect of the information society on international decision making processes within the scope of this thesis study. to the progress of scientific knowledge. The main subject of the thesis is how the information society will have an effect on international decision-making processes. The sub-questions of the thesis are whether or not an information society has formed today and if it has formed; what the properties of this society are. Second question to be addressed is how international decision processes are influenced by the information society. The impact of the information society on the decision making processes were presented under the six main titles in the thesis. First of all, there has been an increase in the number of the actors that play role in the international system and some of those actors have exhibited asymmetric features. Second of all, diversity of the matters, which are included in the scope of foreign policy has escalated. Third, information overload has been experienced in decision making process. Fourth, to the contrary of the claims of the realist school, states do not act as a whole anymore. Fifth, a change has taken place in the structure of the international system. And finally, the alliances in the international system have started to break up. Examination of this subject, which carries an up to date quality will be a useful resource study to the scientific literature.
