The relation between job satisfaction and job burnout of english teachers

The purpose of this research is to put forward the relationship between job satisfaction and burnout of English teachers who work in the private and public schools. The research was applied on the 188 English teachers who work for high schools in Kartal, Maltepe and Kadıköy in Istanbul province. In the research, sort of comparison scanning model of the related scanning models was used. In this research, an information form inclined to gathering demographic variables which was improved by the researcher, Minnesota Job Satisfaction scale and Maslach Burnout Inventory were used. In the research, Pearson Multiplication Momentum Correlation analysis being used, expressiveness levels were tested on the 0.01 and 0.05 levels. A significant negative relationship has been found between job satisfaction and burnout in the research. According to this, when job satisfaction level increases, burnout level decreases, and when job satisfaction level decreases, burnout level increases. Keywords: Job - satisfaction, Burnout, Teacher.
