Investigation of temporal changes of stumpage value in forest: Case of Beşpinar Forest Planning Unit

This study was conducted in order to determine the changes in the planning units of the forests by years and the effects of these changes on the production costs. In this study, the aim was to evaluate the effects of forestry methods applied in our country on the planning unit of Beşpınar forest sub-district directorate through the management plans prepared in 1972, 1993 and 2015. This study was conducted in order to evaluate the plan units of three periods economically and to provide a clue when trying to characterize our forests and to do so, the cost of drag-net trawl, loading, transporting and stacking of the existing forest under the company management was estimated. While calculating these costs, Communiqué on Production Works of Main Forest Products No. 288 published on 05/01/1996 by the General Directorate of Forestry was taken as the basis. In addition, by using Geographical Information Systems (ArcMap-ArcCatalog-ArcToolbox), the drag-net trawl distances to the forest roads as well as the raw, stabilized and asphalt road lengths for the transportation of the products on the ramp to the forest storage were estimated. The realization of the value of the forest is the result of the removal of production costs from sales revenues.
