Özet (EN)

The performance, productivity, competitive advantage and sustainability of organizations are closely related to the behaviours that employees perform voluntarily outside their role definitions. When employees perform these expected extra role behaviours under various pressures and they feel obliged to do, it is defined as compulsory citizenship behaviour. There are not enough studies in the literature on the causes and consequences of compulsory citizenship behaviour, which is a new concept in the literature and is generally associated with negative outcomes of organisations. The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of turnover intentions in the relationship between job insecurity perceptions and their compulsory citizenship behaviours of employees working in the aviation sector. Convenience sampling method was used to determine the research sample and data were collected online by survey method from 213 participants. The research data were analysed with SPSS and AMOS programs. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that job insecurity has a positive and significant effect on compulsory citizenship behaviour and this effect is mediated by turnover intentions.
