A research on the effect of the occupational safety and health practices on the confidence of employees to the firm: An application on a food producer

The research was conducted to evaluate the effects of the practices within the scope of occupational health and safety on the employees' trust in the institution. It was observed that most of the participants received Occupational Health and safety (OHS) training indicated that the training they received was sufficient, know the dangers of their work and what their rights in case of work accident or occupational disease. On the other hand, the majority of the participants pay sufficient attention to occupational safety, know the responsibilities of the employer and employee in this regard and follow the updated regulations. In general, it was observed that the majority of the participants are aware about occupational health and safety. As for the socio-demographic characteristics and trust the institution, it was seen that the level of trust the institution showed a significant difference according to education level. It was observed that the participants whose education level was at the primary education level had a higher level of trust in the institution.
