Abstract (EN)
The natural conditions of the region where he lived from birth to death are the most effective reason for the emergence and shaping of traditional handicrafts. While the ancient Turkish nation passed from a nomadic life to a settled life today, it came together with many societies. In the meantime, they have also created their own deep- rooted traditions. He continued his life by modernizing the areas of use in the art of felt and felt, which is one of the handicrafts arising from the needs in order to sustain life. Central Asian Turkish communities, with their nomadic lifestyles, adapted to cold weather conditions by making use of the meat, milk and wool of the animals they raised, and they always carried their houses made of felt with them, protected from the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer. The kick felt technique was carried to the Hun, Gokturk, Uyghur, Seljuk, Ottoman and Turkish Republic periods. Rebound felt, which is almost everywhere in life, is used in tents, floor mats, clothing, socks, boots and shepherd's shutters, which are still used today. Felt making is still practiced in many parts of Anatolia, albeit in small numbers, and is trying to preserve its traditional structure. Yalvaçta is one of these centers. Yalvaç, which has a large number of felt workshops that can meet all kinds of needs, is the only one left today. Unfortunately, the times when there were even masters working without a workshop, besides workshops, are unfortunately over. Demand for products in demand has almost decreased. At the beginning of these, thereare mats that are given different names as Ala, Ground Felt, Felt Carpet. Yalvaç felt floor mats, which have been blending with their own cultural characteristics for many years, have preserved the same pattern and color feature.
