Abstract (EN)
Nanocomposites are a new class of mineral-field plastics that contain relatively small amounts (<10%) of nanometer-sized clay particles. The particles, due to their extremely high aspect ratios (about 100-15000), and high surface area ( in excess of 750-800 m2/g) promise to improve structural, mechanical, flame retardant, thermal and barrier properties without substantially increasing the density or reducing the light transmission properties of the base polymer. Production of thermoplastic based nanocomposites involves melt mixing the base polymer and layered silicated powders that have been modified with hydroxyl terminated quaternary ammonium salt. During mixing, polymer chains diffuse from the bulk polymer into the vander waals galleries between the silicate layers. In this study, polymer organoclay composites were synthesized with easy-to-find, cheap ingredients and using convenient, efficient and commercially viable methods. The underlying strategy of this approach was to treat clays with appropriately chosen ionic liquids, namely, those that possessed the ability to intercalate the basal spacings of the clay.In this study firstly, Na-montmorillonit was modified with ionic liquids that 1-Bütil-3-metil imidazolyum tetrafloroborat (IL-1), 1-Butil-4-metil pridinyum tetrafloroborat (IL-2) and 1-Metil-3-oktil imidazolyum tetrafloroborat (IL-3). Obtained organoclays such as FTIR, TGA, XRD and SEM were transacted characterization with analysis device?s technique.Ionic liquid molecule?s holding on clay surface rates and the distance which is between two layer are being searched and organoclay which is the most convenient for obtaining polymer-clay nanocomposite was determined. In this study, results of organoclays which obtained with ionic lıquids will compare results of organoclay which obtained with dodecil ammonium sulphate to former a study. This method?s purpose is, to compare organoclay?s analysis result and it will be bring alternative working example which is eco-friendy and economic in literature word. For polymer-clay composites substantial we prefered polyurethan polymer because ıt can be used large usage area andı t is resistant material. Using method is mixing method from solution. In collaboration with this method ıt are be blended with polyuretan and organoclays toluen?s solvent. Nanocomposites obtained as a result of blending was be characterized with analysis device such as FTIR, TGA, DTA, DSC, XRD and SEM.As a result, nanocomposite which obtained with ıonic liquid?s mechanic and thermal feature were be compared with nanocomposits and which obtained previous study. With this production method it is eco-friendly because of ıt doesn?t have contaminant problem and also ıt was be used less material and ıt was be obtained more material.
