Abstract (EN)

This study inlcudes the geological modelling, reserve and tenor analysis of Balya-Balıkesir Hastanetepe polymetalic mineral deposit (Pb, Zn and Ag) by geostatistic methods in terms of mine design and production planning.Database of mineral deposit was created. Data were converted into 5 m interval composites. Both original and composite data demonstrated positively skewed distribution. Data were transformed in logarithm and lognormal kriging was applied. In the directed variogram analysis, zonal and geometric anisotropy was determined in NE-SW (45° and 135°) direction, and geologic cycling was detected in vertical direction. Verification of variogram models were tested by cross validation analysis.Reserve and mean grade predictions were made at determined intervals as a result of the application, and underground distribution of ore on cut-off grade were 3-D modelled. Ore was cut off at certain undergound levels, and grade distribution maps were prepared for these levels. Geological modelling of the mineral deposit was made by Plurigaussian Simulation Method to demonstrate structural change, grade fluctuation and distribution. Rock types as well as distributions and geometric positions of ore were simulated in this modelling. Simulation maps including the geology of mineral deposit along certain lines were produced. In addition, section lines along certain lines in mineral deposit were created and these lines were modelled in 3-D block diagram.
