Abstract (EN)
Downturn of the fossil fuels which have been utilized as energy sources since many years, forced the countries to find new types of energy sources. Geothermal energy, a type of alternative energy sources, is a renewable and environment friendly sources which is extracted from underground. Due to those features, exploration of the geothermal regions in our country become important. The study are called Aydın is a city that is located in Aegean region which is bearing many active fault zones and geothermal sources. In seismic reflection method, carried out via vibro seismic source, used to explore the geothermal area it is necessary to be projected of the seismic work systematically and to be determined of the vibro seismic parameters properly to obtain the correct result. Because every study area has own geological character and it is likely to be chosen different parameters for each. The final parameters are defined depending of the trial results for the study area. Finalizing this process is the one of most important steps of the quality control. Then if a field work is done by choosing a parameter, this mistake will cause many other mistakes in upcoming step called data processing in which the migration and interpretation profiles are acquired. The worse mistake will be the wrong predetermining of the geothermal well and drilling an empty well instead of a full one. In such a situation, it will be a wasted practice in terms of a factors such as time, coast and workforce. In this study, 3D data acquisition steps using seismic reflection method which is applied for searching geothermal fields in our country were explained, and the importance of the vibro seismic trial shots carried out just before the data acquisition were examined and evaluated in terms of the data quality. Results gathered from trial shots which are defined for each sweep parameters are evaluated through the program Promax and then the most proper sweep parameters are determined. Those sweep parameters are defined as ''sweep band frequency in the range of 8-48 Hz, number of sweep 8, length of sweep 10 sc, type of sweep linear, taper length 500 msn, move-up 10 m.'' Geology of the study area is interpreted together with the obtained sweep parameters.
