Abstract (EN)

Taking the movie Joker as an example, this study attempts to show that the subject connects with others through Lacanian discourse types by showing the necessity of the existence of the other in the process of one's transformation into a subject with Lacanian concepts. The subject and the other are described with the French philosopher Jacques Lacan's Desire graphic, neurosis, psychosis, Father's Names, imaginary, symbolic and discourse concepts. The daily life is analyzed through Lacan's concepts in association with the concept of play. The parallels between the movie and the postmodern society are explained with help from the theoretical approaches of thinkers such as Foucault, Huizinga, Heidegger and Erving Goffman. This study tests the validity of psychoanalytic film analysis. Keywords: Desire Graphic, Dasein, Discourse, Play, Psychoanalysis, Jacques Lacan
