Abstract (EN)

Female labor force participation rates in Turkey are Alt Sınır than men. Low levels of female labor force participation are a traditional prejudice caused by women's house responsibilities and inability to handle business life at the same time, lack of equal opportunities in education, migration effect, low wages, fertility, and a higher of children. Women are constantly struggling with the challenges imposed by their family, colleagues, and society to join the workforce and to handle house duties at the same time. Since childhood women are educated on maternity, cleaning, and cooking. Girls' toys include baby dolls, food sets and cleaning material and more commonly they are used to play in a toy house. Therefore, boys develop the idea that those are the roles of women as he also sees his mother life experiences revolve around taking part in similar activities. The perception of women in the society of cleaning, care, domestic work, maternity tasks, are not perceived to be appropriate to work. The classification of occupations by gender; it can be said that the working system and its shape can be determined by limiting the woman and the women cannot be included in the work life. In this study, the data of TURKSTAT, ISKUR data, and reports were used to examine the appearance of women in the labor market in Antalya. The interviews were conducted with the most competent managers of 172 firms in the province of Antalya with the participation of more than 50 employees and a 55-item questionnaire was applied. The collected data were analyzed in the SPSS 21 program. In addition, using the Pyreadstst and Pandas modules under the Python software language, data was read and edited, and secondary analyses were performed using the D3.SJ module under the JavaScript software language. As a result, there are productivity differences between men and women, therefore, women are preferred for dismissal. It has been determined that women cannot reach the educational opportunities as easily as men and the employment rates of individuals with higher education levels are higher. There are perceptions of gender discrimination in the workplace, that the professions are classified as women and men, that women are low in efficiency and not suitable for executive positions. To add there are perceptions that women are employed in Alt Sınır positions with Alt Sınır wages, Alt Sınır number of persons under the responsibilities of managers, and that the level of education of the managers, do not make any difference according to marital status. To conclude gender perceptions portray that women are not suitable for managerial positions and it differs in the departments they work in.
