Kadizâde Mehmed Efendi̇ Mebhas-i Imân (Dil incelemesi̇-tenkitli meti̇n-di̇zi̇n)

This study is about the work Mebhas-ı Îmân written down by Kadızâde Mehmed Efendi in the eighteenth century. The work consists of the introduction, Kadızâde Mehmed Efendi's life and works, language analysis, critical text and grammatical index parts. In the introduction, brief information is given on the Kadızâdeli Movement. In the first part of the study, information about Kadızâde Mehmed Efendi's life and works; the content of Mebhas-ı Îmân, its copies, the date it was written and the language is included. The second part is the language review section. Language review was made under three headings as the spelling, phonetics and morphology. In these parts, the spelling, phonetic and morphological features of the work were compared to those in Old Turkish, Old Anatolian Turkish and Turkey Turkish periods. In the third part, which is the critical text section, since the original copy was not attained, the most recent copy recorded in Hijri 1064, registered in Ankara National Library with the record number 06 Mil Yz A 2217 was named as copy A and the language analysis and the index was prepared according to it. In addition, the copy registered with the record number 06 Mil Yz A 2222 in Ankara National Library was named as copy B and the one with the record number 06 Mil Yz A 1586 was called copy C and they were added to the critical text. In the last part, which is the grammatical index, each word in the work was given as per item with their meanings and roots. These meanings are not their primary meanings in dictionaries but the contextual meanings in the work.
