The Qur'anic method for purifying the heart

Almighty Allah, who created human beings in the most beautiful way, has equipped them with certain organs. The most important of these organs is undoubtedly the heart. The heart, which is the center of faith in the first place, is the center of beautiful emotions such as love, compassion and mercy, as well as the center of grudge, hatred and anger. Because the source and starting point of all thoughts and actions, whether in theory or in practice, is the mind and heart. Before the verb occurs, it is planned in the heart and mind. The effectiveness of an emotion is closely related to its coming from the heart. The validity of faith, which is the most important obligation of human beings, is only possible if it is from the heart and sincerity. The enlightenment of the heart is the heart's reaching the light of faith from the darkness of disbelief. Cleanliness and purification of the heart is possible only by removing from the heart everything that will prevent the remembrance of Allah (c.c) and not containing anything other than the one who created it. This is possible by remembering Allah, remembering Him and giving thanks to Him In this sense, the material and spiritual functions of the heart and the methods of purification of the heart in the Qur'an will be discussed in the light of the Qur'anic verses and related hadiths, and in order to elaborate the subject, certain works of tafsir will be consulted. Thus, the methods of purifying the heart that concern a person's spirituality will be revealed in all details on a Qur'anic basis. In this study, the states of the heart, the importance of purifying the heart, the types of the heart in the Qur'an, the cognitive characteristics of the heart, the spiritual qualities of the heart that are shaped according to the human will and deeds will be explained in the light of verses. In this context, the verses about the material and spiritual functions of the heart will be the focus of our study.
