In this study, two banded seabream (Diplodus vulgaris) living in the East Mediterranean Coast in Turkey is were analyzed genetic diversity by the microsatellite markers. Microsatellites are iterated DNA sequences which are polymorphic and built up by any permutation of mono-di-tri or tetranucleotide motifs. In this research, 69 D. vulgaris samples were obtained from fish monger in Mersin, Antalya and İskenderun Gulfs. Nuclear DNAs were isolated from fish samples were amplified with microsatellite markers that Dvul33, Dvul38 and Dvul84 primers. As a result of phylogenetic analysis, it was observed that fish belonging to Mersin and Antalya have similar genotypes. It was determined that the fish obtained from Iskenderun Bay showed local mobility. Key Words: Diplodus vulgaris, Microsatellites, DNA, PCR
